A Benq Vad 6038 Xbox 360 Dvd Drive
These are a replacement benq VAD6038 Dvd drives for the Xbox 360, with the market drying up on brand new drives we thought it a good time to stock these Benq's, as the Benq vad6038 and the Liteon DG 162DS are the best drive on the market to replace your damaged or broken drive and are becoming very hard to source.
The Benq Vad6038 and the liteon dg162ds are also the quietest out of all the 360 drive types found in consoles. An XBox360 Console with a BenQ VAD6038 or a Liteon DG162ds is substantially quieter then an XBox360 console that comes with the Hitachi drive installed. A major reason we prefer the BenQ VAD6038 is because of it’s build quality and simplicity of design, there is not much that can go wrong with them when compared to the function and design of the other drives such as the hitachi which are very easilly bricked. Spare parts such as lasers are easy to get hold of also, so eventually when the laser starts to become week and you start getting disks reading Errors it won’t be a problem finding a new lasers for these drive types.
Please Note:
It is not possible to take out your old drive and just install this new drive without flashing your old drive key into your new drives firmware, if you do you will get an Error 66 message.With all 360 drives you need to extract the dvd key from your old drives dumped firmware and then insert it into your new drives firmware. jungleflasher is a great app for this. you may also need to spoof your drive if you are not replacing a drive with the exact same brand/model,this is not a simple procedure and should only be preformed by a person who has the knowledge and experience with this procedure or you could end up loosing your dvd drive key and end up with a bricked console.
